The Sax Shop is proud to once again host Saxophone Day at our Bloomington location! Join us all day on August 10th to celebrate the saxophone with clinics, workshops and performances!
The day's schedule is packed with performances from stellar saxophonists, educational sessions, and boundless opportunities to develop your musicianship and network with other saxophonists.
The Sax Squad will be joined on-site by representatives from Eastman, Theo Wanne, D'Addario, JJ Babbitt, Legere and Jody Espina from Jody Jazz to help try out and find the perfect gear.

Saxophone Day is presented in collaboration with Twin Cities Saxophone Camp at the University of Minnesota.
Headlining Artist
Alex Hahn
Alex Hahn is a Grammy Award Winning saxophonist and composer based in Los Angeles, California. Still early in his career, Hahn has had the opportunity to perform with many renowned artists such as Herbie Hancock, Esperanza Spalding, The Grammy Award Winning John Daversa Progressive Big Band, Bob Mintzer, Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band, Peter Erskine, John Beasley, Patrice Rushen, and many others. He also recorded on Michael Bublé’s last three Grammy Nominated studio albums.
Join Alex for a clinic on the Five T's of Saxophone - the five most important concepts that every great saxophone player has in common - and stick around for his concert on our outdoor stage!

Twin Cities Saxophone Camp students will show off their chops with an all-sax group performance! Saxophone Camp is hosted at the University of Minnesota School of Music, and is an annual co-host of Saxophone Day.
